 Excessive
corrosion, erosion, vibration or thermal stress can cause leaks to
develop in piping system. The leaks may occur in straight pipe,
elbows, miter bends, tees, or at flanges or valves. In
other instances, thinned areas of piping may be
found during routine inspections required by API 570. That's where
we come in! MPR can provide a long or short term , reliable
repair such as a leak repair clamp or enclosure. We have the
experience & the capabilities to design, fabricate & install
such a repair clamp & contain your leak until a conventional
repair can be performed.
Midwest Pipe
Repair™
provides non-destructive, on-line leak repair services for steam, condensate,
process, water, or air leaks.
MPR can also repair oil leaks on electric transformers. Most repairs on cover
plates, fittings, welds & cooling fins can be done while
equipment is energized. Our sealant has very good dielectric
properties, & in most cases there is no need to drain the
transformer in order to complete these repairs. All of the above
mentioned repairs are made at temperatures ranging from
cryogenic to 1800°F, and pressures from vacuum to 6000 psig. All
hardware and clamps are designed and built to all applicable
pipe codes and specifications. Our design team has over 20 years of
experience in designing both standard and job specific leak repair
clamps and enclosures. All design packages are available upon
request to our customers. Extensive R&D has gone into the
sealant and valve packing compounds that are utilized by our
field technicians. Sealant and packing compounds are compatible with
a multitude of services such as steam, water, air, HF & sulfuric
acid, condensate, chlorine, ammonia plus many more. MSDS sheets are
on hand and available for customer review and
approval.
Midwest Pipe
Repair™
can respond on a routine or emergency basis and in a lot of
instances we stock more commonly used clamps or enclosures for a
quick turnaround. Our engineering group as well as machine shop is
available 24/7/365 to meet your needs. We will maximize your uptime
by repairing your leaks on-line, on-site, and under pressure.
